The Capture One team should learn a lot from Adobe's masking solution to speed up workflow. AND of course Capture One is excellent - even if it's masking tools are old school. I had a similar experience with Fuji's own RAW processing tool. The DXO Pure Raw story, from the very first versions, tells a story of restarts, crashes and other problems with the processing of RAW files using DXO Pure Raw. I do not use NX Studio, which consistently gets 1 out of 10 for me. DxO Pure Raw 3 is a standalone software that bundles the camera/lens correction capability of DxO PhotoLab with the industry leading DeepPrime Noise. The DxO PureRAW output is far better than what Lightroom can deliver so has become an integral part of most of my image processing. I am sorry but PL6 is in last place of the tools I have bought and use - it gets 3 out of 10 from my use - it is far too slow to use. LRC/PS have far far superior AI based masking tools than PL6, which seems to be very much old school and therefore slow.Ĭapture One's skin tone tools are the best of any I have used, which is why Capture One remains my go to for portraits. At higher ISO settings, Capture One and Lightroom start to show similar levels of noise with some RAW files, and while both offer. I have used Deep Prime XD - but prefer to use DeNoise AI for noise reduction. It also adds some basic punch to all images.ĪCR/LRC's processing of Z9 Raw files is lousy compared to the results I get from PR2. However, when processing Nikon Z9 Lossless RAW files I use DXO Pure RAW 2 (PR2) to process these Z9 RAW files into linear DNG and have found this gets me all the benefits I want from DXO's colour and optics processes. I own and use LRC,PS, Capture One (for tethered shooting and processing Phase One images), and DXO PL6 and also Phocus (for processing my Hasselblad 3FR files).
